FAQs

Product Authenticity & Uniqueness

Is your jade natural?

Yes. At Jade & Flo's, we are committed to offering natural Type A jadeite — meaning it has never been dyed or polymer-treated. As a natural gemstone, every piece carries its own unique colour, translucency, texture and inclusions.

Why does my jade look different from the photos?

No two pieces of natural jade are exactly alike. Subtle variations in colour, translucency, texture and pattern are part of its natural beauty, and shades may also appear slightly different depending on lighting and screen settings.

Wearing & Care

Can I wear my jade jewellery every day?

Yes. Jadeite is a durable gemstone suited to everyday wear, though it should still be treated with care. Avoid knocks against hard surfaces, and remove your jewellery before exercising, showering, swimming or doing household chores.

Can jade go in water?

Brief contact with clean water is generally fine. However, we recommend removing your jewellery before showering, bathing or swimming, as chlorine, salt water and soaps may affect it over time.

How should I care for my jade jewellery?

Gently wipe your jade with a clean, soft cloth after each wear. When needed, clean with lukewarm water and mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Store each piece separately in its Jade & Flo's pouch or jewellery box to prevent scratching.

Meaning, Traditions & Choosing Your Piece

Does jade have a special meaning?

Jade has been treasured for centuries, particularly across East Asian cultures. It is traditionally associated with harmony, protection, prosperity, longevity and good fortune.

Which wrist should I wear my jade bracelet on?

There's no strict rule. In some traditions, the left wrist is associated with receiving positive energy, and the right with giving. Ultimately, wear your jade on whichever wrist feels most comfortable to you.

How do I choose the right jade piece?

Choose the piece that naturally draws your eye. Consider its colour, translucency, shape and individual character — every piece of natural jade is unique, and sometimes the right one simply feels like yours.
